Sailing holidays on an individual basis

Sailing trips Channel Islands

Kiel (D) - Brest (F)

This very varied sailing trip with the Avatar starts in Kiel, Germany. We first sail through the Nord-Ostsee-Canal to the North Sea and past the German and Dutch Wadden Islands. We will make some miles here to be able to take more time later during the trip to explore the Channel Islands and Brittany.

An island that is almost certainly planned for a visit is the beautiful Terschelling. Here we enjoy a wonderful stopover. Via the Netherlands you sail along the Belgian or Southeast English coast. Which ports are visited are wind and weather dependent.

The ultimate goal of this trip are the Channel Islands and Breton coast. The Channel Islands are characterized by the unique mix of French and English influences, a pleasant climate and beautiful, rugged nature. On the islands of Alderney, Guernsey, Sark, Herm and Jersey you will find nice villages and towns, interesting sights, rolling hills and rugged coves with cliff paths. Here too, the following applies: how many and which islands we visit depends on the weather, but there will certainly be time for beautiful shore excursions.
Along the Breton coast, the sailing trip continues with possible stops in Paimpol or Roscoff and the city of Brest as the end point of this sailing trip.

Channel Islands

In July we organize two more trips along the French coast and the Channel islands. A sailing trip from Brest or Douarnenez to Cherbourg and one with departure and arrival in Cherbourg.

Sailing around the Channel Islands offers many challenges in terms of tides, currents and rocks and offer something to suit everyone: from lovely and lively ports to beautiful and spectacular anchorages. The major Channel Islands are Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. Due to the warm gulf stream, the climate is mild and even Mediterranean plants and palm trees grow here. The Channel Islands are located quite close to each other, but all have their own character and beauty.

On Guernsey you will find a unique mix of English and French influences. In one of the most beautiful little harbors in Europe, St. Peter Port, you can relax on a terrace or stroll through the shopping streets.
Thanks to the variety of landscapes and the beautiful coastline, Jersey is a top destination for walkers of all ages.
The cute island of Sark is the perfect island for those looking for real peace. This traffic-free paradise with its wild flowers has dozens of well-maintained hiking trails and several beautifully hidden bays.

There is also a sailing trip from Cherbourg to Amsterdam along South East England. You can find more information on the delivery trips page.
